Importance of Networking and Community
Gen Z understands that academic good grades aren’t all that we need in the competitive world to stay ahead. We are living in a world where Right Brain Thinkers will play a critical role in the future.
One of the essential needs in the current world is to build Networks. This Power of Networking has been instrumental in building LinkedIn, a $5 Bn plus revenue platform.
Top Social Media networks like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and others are leveraging the power of networking to build huge organizations.
But why as a student do we need to have a network?
How will the Network benefit me?
What kind of Networking Community should I be a part of?
Let’s first understand what a network is.
And I assure you it’s not the one related to computers hehe, but if you’re interested in that or technology, we are building ‘The Ninja Club’ along with many other interactive peer to peer learning touchpoints for teenagers at Skillarthi.
Coming back to networking, it’s the process of speaking to and sharing information and having meaningful discussions with contacts who in turn can give you exposure and opportunity to help progress in your career and life. At the same time allowing you to gain a fresh perspective which you may not have thought of previously.
Don’t forget to offer your ideas, by doing so you’ll be building your reputation and develop as an innovative thinker within the industry.
It’s a vital part of the modern business world and can push you to reach new heights in your career path. Making you the smartest one in the room 😉
Now that we have discussed what Networking is, it’s time to discuss another very important thing- to be in a community.
The simple fact is that united we stand and divided we fall. Society is the manifestation of that united existence, and each student plays a very significant role in improving and strengthening the society here.
Now I present to you the Teenverse that I am building for Teenagers along with other CTOs in our community. The platform happens to be exactly what teenagers like me and you need. At Teenverse we offer a safe space for Teenagers to Think, Explore and Express. We nurture teenagers by coming together and intend to play a critical role in their success. We have built some path-breaking interactions at the Teenverse which go beyond limited connections.
We call our Teenstars CLO i.e. Chief Life Officers, who are carving their own path and focus on being thinkers. Teenverse Community at Skillarthi is ultra-dynamic with a wide range including Stage, Safe Space, Gaming, Binge-watching, Debating, Financial Literacy, Vocabulary, Compound Learning, and Library in an all-new avatar. That’s not all. There’s a lot more we do at Teenverse. Hop-on to experience and co-create awesomeness.
- Connection and Belonging
- Supports and Safety
- Larger network or connections, better chances of success
At Skillarthi we are trying to build a platform where Teenagers go beyond usual stuff and challenge themselves. We are pushed to step out of our comfort zone to inculcate necessary skills for the future.
